Welcome to Grizzly Bible Institute!

 

Grizzly Bible Institute exists to provide a kind of education that inflames a thoughtful and delightful passion for the supremacy of God, through Jesus Christ, in all things.

 

Lord willing, Grizzly Bible Institute (GBI) will be a stellar setting for the glory of Jesus Christ reflected in the true and passionate worship of young adult students from around the world. Over the past several years, our gracious and sovereign God has caused this vision of a one-year college-level Bible institute to gel together. If the Spirit of God continues to pave the way, GBI will fully commence for the 2009-2010 school year.

 

The GBI campus will be strategically located in Edgewood, New Mexico (about 25 miles east of Albuquerque). This location will give students ample opportunity to enjoy God’s handiwork in the unique landscape of New Mexico.

 

The first year of GBI, occurring from August 31, 2009 until late June 2010, will consist of 35 weeks of impacting classes, discipleship, and ministry on site in Edgewood, followed by a life-changing six-week missions trip to a foreign nation.

 

Grizzly Bible Institute will be gladly partnering with Covenant of Grace Bible Church in Edgewood, New Mexico. Covenant of Grace Bible Church is a non-denominational gathering of believers who have a like-minded vision of treasuring our all-satisfying Jesus above all things. This local church connection will surely maximize the overall experience for the men and women attending GBI.

 

With great joy, we are pleased to present to you our vision on this website. We certainly do not claim that our one-year Bible institute is superior to other institutes or colleges. Nevertheless, we are convinced that the discerning observer will notice significant (and maybe electrifying!) distinctives. Enjoy reading, and be careful not to salivate too much!

  • GBI will possess a rich theological blend that will supremely honor the Lord Jesus Christ and which could bring satisfying, sin-killing, and ever-increasing joy to the students.

  • GBI will be undeniably practical as the Spirit takes the beautiful knowledge accumulating in the minds of the students and transforms them into joyfully obedient servants to the will of God for all of life.

  • GBI will provide a comprehensive approach for maximum life-impact for the students such as: Bible teaching modules, structured discipleship, purposeful outdoor activities, and a missions appetizer.

  • GBI will offer a unified curriculum that will be profusely Bible-saturated as the students are exposed to our breathtaking God and His appointed means of making much of Jesus in all of life.

  • GBI will labor incessantly to have daily, genuine, and patient discipleship as the staff pours their lives into all the life of the students for the tangible purpose of their ongoing maturity.

  • GBI will have a unique and effective homework paradigm that will maximize the assimilation and implications of the awesome truths that students will be discovering at the Institute.

  • GBI will highlight the indispensable discipline of Bible memorization by giving students sufficient time to stockpile copious amounts of God’s Word in their hearts.

  • GBI will partner with a like-minded local church so that students can relate what they are assimilating at the Institute to how a healthy gathering of believers functions in a Christ-honoring manner.

  • GBI will implement a profoundly meaningful outdoors program for the students as they experience the beauty of God in His creation as a means of heartfelt worship of Jesus.

  • GBI will be intentionally missions-orientated as students are challenged throughout the year to spread the fame of Christ to all peoples, culminating in a six-week missions trip in an overseas setting.
